This piece is inspired by a symbol depicted in the Snake river canyon located near Kuna Idaho. This symbol is located on top of one of the stones in celebration part and lines up with the direction of the sun on solstice. To me the lines were checked to see when to travel to and from the valley as it was a winter camp for the ancestors of the Shoshone Bannock people. The last two photos are from the stone it originates from and myself during my visit to study these unique and beautiful patterns.
Each piece is unique and handmade.
